Earth Day Event is Tomorrow!


Join us tomorrow at the Lahaina Civic Center from 9:00am-4:30pm for the first annual Love the West Maui Greenway Day! Our schedule is packed with activities and entertainment – check out our updated itinerary:

At 11am, a March for Science will be led by Executive Director of HAMER, Mark Deakos; Director of Upward Bound, Jana Wilkinson; and 40 high school students participating in an Upward Bound TRiO program. Marchers will cross the highway to Canoe Beach and head towards Lahaina on the walking path to make a presence known about the need for science and environmental preservation. The students will be marching in celebration of Earth Day and their last Saturday Academy before the start of the summer program. Visit HAMER’s booth at Love the West Maui Greenway Day to learn more about their mission, research and how you can get involved!

plein_air1Plein Air Painting

Maui School of Art will be hosting an “En Plein Air” landscape painting session from 9am-12pm. Easels, canvas and painting materials will be provided. Discover the artist within you while painting the beautiful scenery of the Lahaina landscape!  Recommended for ages: high school and up. Continue the creativity by bidding on a six week painting class of your choice, donated to our silent auction by Maui School of Art!

– Nominate “Maui” for a $20k Parks Grant at
– Participate in our online silent auction – bidding closes tomorrow at 4:30pm!
