HBL Instructor course proposed, Maui Mt Bike C. workdays, State Gov. news

 2. The Maui Mountain Bike Coalition will be leading two work days this coming Labor Day Weekend in the Kahakapao Recreation Area.  Saturday, 8/31, beginning at 8:30a.m., and  Monday, 9/2, beginning at 12 noon.  Meet at the trail head parking lot.  Please bring your own food and water, and be prepared for weather conditions varying from hot and dry, to wet and windy.  Sturdy close-toed shoes are a must.  They will  have some tools available, but you are also encouraged to bring your own.  If you have any questions, please contact Russell at 808-293-0748, or by email at Russell@MisadventureGear.com.

The State Department of Transportation is announcing the APPROVAL of STIP
Revision #14 (an Amendment) to the Federal Fiscal Year (FFY) 2011 to 2014
(+2) Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP).  The STIP document
identifies projects that are to be programmed for federal Highway or Transit
funding.

 The Final Statewide Pedestrian Master Plan
and Hawaii Pedestrian Toolbox have been posted to the project website,
